There are moments in the year when the light seems to change direction.
The days become shorter. The colours deepen.
The warmth of summer begins to gather itself into something quieter.
At these thresholds, we can choose to move a little more slowly.
To notice. To listen. To work with our hands.
To let the changing world become part of our own inner rhythm.
This is where Color & Cosmos begins again.

A seasonal practice
Color & Cosmos is a cultural practice exploring the relationship between colour, nature, art, seasonal rhythms and human development.
It is rooted in a long-standing European tradition of artistic and human education, while remaining open to anyone who wishes to explore these questions through direct experience.
Rather than beginning with theories, we begin with observation.
A colour.
A tree.
A changing light.
A remembered image.
A movement of the hand.
A moment in our biography.
From there, we ask what becomes visible.

Each week, a small letter will accompany the season through four movements:
SEE
What is happening around us?
THINK
What might this reveal?
PRACTICE
Can we experience it through colour, art, nature or the hands?
CARRY
What quality can accompany us into the week?
The practices will be simple.
Watercolour, drawing, modelling, knitting, baking, walking, observing, writing, tending a space.
Sometimes there may be a tale, a plant, a seasonal recipe, a biographical question or a small insight from the world of anthroposophical education.
Nothing needs to be mastered.
The invitation is simply to participate.

Beginning at the threshold
This first cycle begins with the autumn threshold.
The outer light is gradually withdrawing, while another kind of attention can become more awake.
We will move through red, earth and deepening colour.
Through Michaelmas.
Through the gathering of autumn.
Through the first quiet weeks of Advent.
The first seasonal Color Journal will grow from this journey.
Not as a collection of information, but as a record of a season experienced through colour and practice.
