Between Horizon and Heart
Summer naturally draws us outward. We travel, wander unfamiliar streets, meet friends, swim in distant waters, stay awake beneath long skies. Life expands toward the horizon.
Yet every true journey contains another movement.
The Greeks had a beautiful word for it: νόστος (nostos)—the homecoming.
Not simply returning to one's house, but returning changed, carrying experience inward until it becomes wisdom. Every voyage is complete only when it finds its way back to the heart.
